Congratulations on the multiple communications channel
Congratulations on the multiple channels that allow greater participation. I was very impressed during the Sydney meeting. You have raised the bar so the next great step is now to provide greater transparency in terms of the acceptance/reception of comments and also how they affect the decision making process.

Country and Territory Names, new gTLD Applicant Guidebook v.2
Young-eum Lee, ccNSO representative of .kr and ccNSO vice chair, but speaking in my personal capacity.
The current distinction between gTLDs and ccTLDs is a valid and an integral part of the domain name system, as evidenced by the fact that ccTLDs now have 74.1 million registrations, comprising more than 40% of the 183 million domain name registrations, according to Verisign's June 2009 Industry Brief. That the ccTLDs satiate a significant need of the global internet users is also evidenced by the fact that it is growing at a faster rate that of the gTLDs.

5 day grace period vs. domain tasting
Has all logic escaped this industry?
I recently, mistakenly registered the wrong domain name. It was a mental fart, and I caught it about 2 minutes afterwards and tried to correct it with my hosting company. Which started a round of emails back and forth between the help desk and I.
Finally, I found the ICANN website and was able to ask what was the policy regarding canceling domain name accounts. Here I learned about "domain tasting"!
ICANN, Onlinenic.com, Hichina.com, and their criminal resellers
Hello.
I and several of my colleagues have been dutifully monitoring and reporting several hundreds of thousands of illicitly-registered domains which nearly always lead back to either Onlinenic or Hichina.
These are two very large-scale domain registrars, and we have uncovered a very large problem with at least two of their domain resellers. I have several week's worth of documentation and other research regarding this serious problem, and I want to know how to get this information into the hands of the right people at ICANN.
Domain Ext

Thank you
