ICANN participation

Dig a Business is a business directory targeted to business owners who want a better online presence, better search engine rankings and in the end more prospects and sales.

Being a directory owner I wonder if owning the .directory gTLD would bring more visitors or make a directory more easy to remember. I for one highly doubt that! It's still about content, about information, about services. I can imagine even people that would prefer the older but better established .com domains

There are many benefits you can get from starting a petition. If a rule has been created that you think would create a big problem to you and the people involved, then you can show your right and fight against it by starting a petition.

It is our right to defend ourselves and when someone does something that is violating your right or has planned on doing something that would most definitely create chaos to many people, then it is your sore responsibility to defend that right.

M/s ICANN has opened discussion forum "http://forum.icann.org/lists/auction-consultation/" and have published a paper from one of its contractor M/s Power Auctions LLC, to award new Top Level Domains (TLD) between two or more registry applicants.

I have an intention to become a registrar for the .ns2, .ath and .athens domains.

• .athens and .ath = Athens of verious town and cities worldwide, such as Athens, Greece and Athens, GA.
• .ns1 = Off-site Forum relating to a Region or Alliance in the online simulation game NationStates
• .ns2 = Off-Site Alliance Site from the NationStates 2 Online Simulation Game.
• .nationstate = Nation State.

I am also searching for information with regard to preparing proposals to present to ICANN for such gTLDs.

With the reference of Draft Final Report for IDN ccTLDs Fast Track, IDNC WG obtained Public Comments up to 23rd June 08 and posted on url http://forum.icann.org/lists/idn-cctld-fast-track/.

Along with others, I also have participated to submit some comments which were posted on the forum (as email archive).

Well, because of this, I am billing to realise my internet dream of buying my very own domain: either home.athens, home.ath or if Athens Foods, Inc is happy to buy food.athens for their site, athens.com.

Message which is on the first look not so interesting in the contrast of expanding range of Top-domains - but quite disturbing, if you're a speaker of one of those languages it could affect...
