At-Large European Regional Organization (EURALO) Brochure
Members of the At-Large European Regional Organization (EURALO) created a brochure [PDF, 677K] for purposes of increasing awareness of EURALO within Europe. Included in the EURALO brochure are the key issues EURALO members are working on, including the introduction of new generic top level domains (gTLDs), trademark issues, internationalized domain names (IDNs), and the transition from IPv4 to IPv6. The brochure will be used to facilitate EURALO outreach activities.
ALAC Endorses ALS Application From NEXTi
The ALAC endorsed the At-Large Structure (ALS) Application from NEXTi-Organização das Executivas de Tecnologia da Informação e Comumicação with a 13-0 vote and no abstentions.
NEXTi is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil and will be a certified ALS of the Latin-American and Caribbean Islands Regional At-Large Organisation (LACRALO).

ALAC Ratifies Statement on the Public Consultation Process
The At-Large staff transmitted the ALAC Statement on the Public Consultation Process to the Board Committee for Public Participation on behalf of the At-Large Advisory Committee.
ALAC Submits Statement on the IIC - The Way Forward Proposals
The attached document was transmitted to the ICANN Board of Directors on 30 October 2009.
ALAC Chair Reports to Seoul Meeting on At-Large Activities in 2009
Cheryl Langdon-Orr, ALAC Chair, reported on the activities of ALAC and At-Large during 2009 at the 36th International ICANN meeting in Seoul today during the Supporting Organisation ("SO") and Advisory Committee ("AC") Chair Reports segment of the Public Forum.

ALAC Adopts Position Description for ALAC Members and Liaisons

ALAC Submits Advisory on the At-Large Review Implementation Plan to the Board

Elected ALAC Officers and Liaisons for 2009/10
The nomination period for ALAC Liaison and Officer positions ended on 19 October 2009, a part of the larger set of elections and appointments which have taken place between the Sydney and Seoul ICANN meetings (please see http://www.atlarge.icann.org/elections/2009).
For the following positions, only one candidate was nominated and accepted nomination for their respective position. As a consequence, they are each returned for their respective position, serving from the close of the Seoul ICANN Meeting until the close of the ICANN AGM in late 2010:
ALAC submits Statement on the SSAC Retreat Agenda
On August 25th 2009 the ALAC tasked the ALAC-SSAC Liaison Patrick Vande Walle to submit a reply the Public Consultation on the Security & Stability Advisory Committee Retreat (http://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/public-comment-200909.html#ssac-retreat) on behalf of the ALAC.
GNSO Council Announces Election of Chuck Gomes as Chair
The GNSO Council is delighted to announce the election of Chuck Gomes as Chair, Olga Cavalli as interim Vice Chair of the Non Contracted Parties House and Stéphane Van Gelder as Vice Chair of the Contracted Parties House. The permanent Vice Chair of the Non Contracted Parties House will be communicated in the next few weeks.
